SMAC Representatives at the Korean Fusion Music Concert Held at Kolarac
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea organized the Korean Fusion Music Concert on Monday, June 10, at the Kolarac Endowment.
Among the guests – representatives of the political, cultural and public scene of Serbia, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps, there were SMAC representatives, as well.
After the opening speech of Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Serbia, H.E. Jaewoong Lee, the performance group of seven young musicians, including the world-renowned gayagm musician (a traditional Korean 12-string instrument made of twisted silk thread), Hyun-ji Oh better known as Yageum Yageum, presented to the audience traditional folk songs, such as “Plum Blossom Song (Mehva Tarjong)” and “Ship’s Songs (Betnore)”, as well as the traditional dance with fans – Sandyo.
In addition, the audience had the opportunity to enjoy in the modern pop songs of the performers and the Serbian folk song “Oh, mom, girls from Gruža are beautiful” with the orchestral accompaniment of the traditional Korean instruments gayageum, janggy, daegeum, etc.
The Republic of Korea, as a reliable and sincere partner of our country, provides support to Serbia in many spheres, among others, in the field of humanitarian demining.
By implementing humanitarina demining related projects, the conditions for increasing the safety of the population are achieved and the safe use of blocked resources is enabled.
SMAC uses this opportunity to thank the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Government of the Republic of Korea for the assistance provided in the field of hunamitarian demining, but also for the dedicated nurturing of close Korean-Serbian relations and the presentation of innovative and creative aspects of the Korean culture to the Republic of Serbia.
