SMAC Becomes Supporting Member of Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI)

In order to improve and strengthen the capacity of the Republic of Serbia in the field of underwater demining, SMAC has submitted a request for the membership in the Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI) based in Houston, USA.

The request was approved in November 2023 and SMAC, as a supporting member, has become part of the community that fosters the highest possible level of safety in the practice of commercial diving and underwater operations, as well as appropriate and adequate training of personnel.

Bearing in mind the interaction of mine action and infrastructure development in the context of the current expansion of construction and the need to create conditions for the safe execution of infrastructure projects, both on land and under water, which are a prerequisite for future investments in the Republic of Serbia, underwater demining comes into focus, therefore, the need to regulate this area, аbove all, the need to develop appropriate standards and train personnel.
