SMAC PARTICIPATION AT GICHD WEBINAR – “EXPLORING HOSTING OPTIONS: PANEL DISCUSSION”

On July 6, 2023, the Geneva International Center for Humanitarian Demining organized a webinar entitled “Exploring hosting options: panel discussion”, in which SMAC representatives, Slađana Košutić and Vanja Marjanović, participated as panelists.

On that occasion, Slađana Košutić shared the experiences of SMAC and inputs regarding hosting options for the information management system. In addition to the SMAC representatives, panelist was a representative of the Lebanese Mine Action Centre, Mr Charbel Mtanos.

The panelists touched on the factors that influence the choice of IMSMA Core hosting option and pointed out the advantages and disadvantages of a virtual server, on the one hand, and a physical server, on the other hand.
