Agreement on Cooperation with Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy Signed
SMAC Director, Bojan Glamočlija, and Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy, Nemanja Starović, on Friday, December 20, 2024, signed the Agreement on cooperation, which will contribute to the improvement of cooperation in the field of mine action, with a special emphasis on explosive ordnance victim assistance.
The goal of this Agreement is to create a framework for mutual cooperation and define the conditions and ways in which assistance will be provided to explosive ordnance victims, including the improvement and raising of the capacity to provide care and rehabilitation for immediate and long-term needs of explosive ordnance victims, as well as support to their families and communities affected by explosive ordnance.
This initiative is part of a wider effort to improve the living standards of victims and increase their socio-economic inclusion.
The agreement is based on relevant laws and international conventions that the Republic of Serbia has acceded to, as well as previous memoranda on cooperation with other partners, all with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of assisting and supporting those affected by explosive ordnances.
