Quality Control on “Philip Morris” Factory Project in Niš

Based on the request of the Niš based company Philip Morris International, the SMAC prepared the Explosive Remnants of War Clearance Project at the location of the tobacco factory “Philip Morris, Niš.

As part of the monitoring of the implementation of the Project, on Thursday, October 24, 2024, the quality control of the works performed according to the second phase of the Project was carried out.

It was estimated that the project area is suspected, taking into account the fact that the former Tobacco Factory, in whose complex the “Philip Morris” factory is located, was repeatedly bombed during the NATO bombing in 1999 with large aerial bombs and cluster munitions.
