Explosive Ordnance Found at Ponikve – 5 Project

During the implementation of the Cluster Munitions Clearance Project for the “Ponikve -5” Site, within Phase I of the Project and searching the area up to a depth of 50 cm, the contractor NGO “IN Demining”, Pale, Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, discovered the following explosive ordnance:

MK1 cluster bomb body, 4 MK1 cluster bombs, 23mm projectile for anti-aircraft gun, hand grenade without a fuse, 2 fuses without projectiles (of unknown origin).

The destruction of the found explosive ordnance, which will be carried out by the members of the Sector for Emergency Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, will create conditions for the safe continuation of the Project work.
