Europe Day Marked by Reception organized by EU Delegation to Serbia

Director of the Serbian Mine Action Center, Mr. Bojan Glamočlija, attended a celebratory reception marking Europe Day, which was held on May 9 at the “Madlena” Art Palace in Belgrade, organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia, headed by the Head of Delegation, Emanuele Giaufret.

The event brought together numerous representatives of state institutions, international organizations, diplomatic corps, as well as the civil sector and expert community.

The celebration of Europe Day was an opportunity to highlight common values, the importance of European unity, as well as to reaffirm Serbia’s commitment to European integrations.

During the event, the role of local and regional actors in the EU accession process was highlighted, especially through the implementation of reforms, strengthening institutions and the implementation of European standards.

SMAC Director, Mr. Glamočlija, on this occasion emphasized the importance of continued cooperation with the EU Delegation and other partners on projects that contribute to the goal of eliminating the threat from explosive remnants of war, as well as strengthening partnership relations with the EU with the aim of further developing and improving national capacities.
