ERW found on “New Sava Bridge – Water Area” Project

During the implementation of Explosive Remnants of War Risk Reduction Project at the “New Sava Bridge – Water Area” Site, that is the investigation of the possible presence of underwater ERW, contractor “Millennium Team” ltd., Belgrade, identified that two anomalies represent explosive remnants of war.

At the location of Novi Beograd, on the Sava River bank,  ERWs were found:

ERW and a pistol frame without a barrel, cover and bolt.

The Sector for Emergency Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia carried out survey, condition assessment, removal, transport and destruction of the found ERW.

We appeal to the residents of the city of Belgrade, but also to all citizens, to adhere to the prescribed safety measures, not to approach locations where UXO warning signs have been placed, it is strictly forbidden to move and remove the UXO warning signs.

By adhering to prescribed safety measures, we protect both our own safety and the safety of others.
