Commencement of the Project for Clearance Suspected Hazardous Area of ERW at the Industrial Zone “North 2” in Niš

At the initiative of the City Administration for Local Economic Development and Investments of the City of Niš, the implementation of the Project for clearance a suspected hazardous area of explosive remnants of war (ERW) at the location of the industrial zone “North 2” in the city of Niš has begun.

The Project was developed by the Mine Action Centre, which also monitors its implementation and conducts quality control of the works. The contractor is the company Millennium Team, which is carrying out the clearance activities on site.

The aim of the Project is to eliminate the risk posed by ERW to people, property, and the environment, and to provide safe conditions for the planning and implementation of future infrastructure projects to the designated depth.
