Successful Completion of EOD Level 1 and 2 Training Through Cooperation Between the SMAC and DRAKON Group
A three-week international Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Level 1 and 2 training course has been successfully completed at the Innovation and Education Park of the Serbian Mine Action Centre, jointly organised by the Mine Action Centre of the Republic of Serbia (SMAC) and the UK-based company DRAKON Group.

Participants from Oman, Armenia, Kenya, India and the Republic of Serbia attended this internationally recognised training programme, which was delivered in strict compliance with the International Mine Action Standards (IMAS), as well as the prescribed Testing and Evaluation Protocols (T&EPs).

Continuous EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) training enables participants to familiarise themselves with emerging technologies, modern operational methods and best practices, thereby contributing to enhanced operational effectiveness and improved safety in mine action operations.
Ongoing professional development and the continuous enhancement of competencies are essential prerequisites for maintaining high standards of professionalism and safety in EOD operations. At the same time, such training programmes promote the exchange of knowledge and practical experience among specialists from different countries, with the aim of strengthening operational capacities and ensuring the consistent application of international standards in this field.
