This year’s session focused on the challenges of humanitarian demining and explosive ordnance contamination management in urban areas, with particular emphasis on the application of innovative approaches, advanced technologies, and methods for identifying, assessing, and addressing the hazards posed by unexploded ordnance.
Over the course of the three-day event, representatives of national mine action centres, international organizations, specialized institutions, academia, and the technology sector exchanged experiences and shared best practices in urban clearance, data management, activity prioritization, public risk education, and coordination with other stakeholders involved in recovery and development processes.
