Director Glamoclija Signs Letter of Intent with the “Stop Unexploded Mines” Association of Pyrotechnicians – Deminers from Strumica
At the Innovation and Education Park of the Mine Action Centre, a Letter of Intent was signed between the Mine Action Centre of the Republic of Serbia, represented by its Director, Bojan Glamoclija, and the Association of Pyrotechnicians – Deminers “Stop Unexploded Mines” from Strumica, North Macedonia, represented by the Association’s President, Eftim Mitrov.
The Mine Action Centre and the Association of Pyrotechnicians – Deminers “Stop Unexploded Mines” will participate as equal partners in areas of mutual interest, including mine action, humanitarian demining, and the enhancement of bilateral development cooperation.
The Letter of Intent establishes a framework for cooperation focused on the exchange of expertise and the implementation of joint activities in the fields of mine action and humanitarian demining. This includes public awareness and education, the improvement of non-technical survey activities in areas contaminated by explosive remnants of war (ERW), the development of the regulatory framework, the organization of training programs, and the strengthening of capacities for protection against unexploded ordnance (UXO), as well as other mutually agreed activities of importance for effective and efficient mine action.
