Strategic Steering Board Meeting of the Innovation Technical Group Held in Geneva

The Mine Action Centre participated in the third meeting of the Strategic Steering Board of the Innovation Technical Group, on the margins of the 29th International Meeting of National Mine Action Directors and United Nations Advisers (NDM-UN29) in Geneva, Swiss Confederation.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining, the Mine Action Centre of the Republic of Serbia, mine action organizations (The HALO Trust and Free Fields Foundation Libya), the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), ministries from Luxembourg, as well as representatives of the Swiss Institute of Technology and other relevant institutions.

The agenda included a review of the strategic vision and objectives of the Technical Innovation Group, as well as discussions on innovation financing in the field of mine action.

During the meeting, the representative of the Mine Action Centre of the Republic of Serbia, in the role of Co-Chair of the Innovation Technical Group, presented the Group’s work plan and informed participants about upcoming activities and the future work of the Innovation Technical Group in the forthcoming period.
