ERW found on Obrenovac – Novi Beograd Suburban Heating Pipeline Project

During the implementation of ERW Suspected Area Clearance Project on the Route of the Suburban Heating Pipeline Obrenovac – Novi Beograd, contractor “Millennium Team” ltd., Belgrade, found 11 pieces of unexploded ordnance (UXO):

• 7 pieces of 75 mm projectiles
• 1 piece of a 60 mm projectile
• 1 piece of a 35 mm bullet
• 1 piece of an 80 mm artillery shell
• 1 piece of an artillery shell 60 mm

Sector for Emergency Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia will conduct the assessment of the condition, removal, transport and destruction of the found ERW, taking all prescribed safety measures.

Quality Control on Obrenovac – Novi Beograd Suburban Heating Pipeline Project

SMAC conducted quality control of the works carried out in the first, second and third phases of the ERW Suspected Area Clearance Project on the Route of the Suburban Heating Pipeline Obrenovac – Novi Beograd.

On this occasion, no critical errors specified in this Project were identified.

Clearance of this location contributes to creating conditions for safe work on the route of the Obrenovac – Novi Beograd suburban heating pipeline.
