Visit to Ebinger Company in Cologne
SMAC representatives have recently visited Ebinger Prüf- und Ortungstechnik GmbH in Cologne, Germany, at the invitation of this leading company in the field of detection technology.
During the visit, an introductory meeting with management was held at the company’s head office, after which the SMAC representatives had the opportunity to tour the training center and test center, as well as the factory where the equipment is manufactured.
The visit also included a detailed presentation of the latest solutions from the Ebinger portfolio, from handheld and underwater detectors, to advanced digital systems with GNSS support, as well as software for data recording and analysis.
Work of modern detection systems, including the latest technologies in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), which play a significant role in modern detection and demining methods, has been demonstrated on the test range.
The Ebinger company, which has been developing and manufacturing highly specialized metal detection devices for more than 50 years, has a research and development center in Weissbaum and production capacities used worldwide in various fields, including humanitarian demining, unexploded ordnance disposal, forensic investigations, security checks at airports and public events, as well as industry, geology and archaeology.
During the visit, SMAC representatives also discussed with technical experts and company management potential joint research and development projects, as well as opportunities for cooperation in improving technical capacities through training and exchange of experiences.
This visit represented an important step in strengthening international partnerships and improving the technical capacities of the SMAC, with the aim of implementing the most modern solutions in mine action in the future.
