Visit of Representatives from Belgian Company Aerial Solutions – Application of Drone Technology in Humanitarian Demining

Representatives of the renowned Belgian company Aerial Solutions, specialized in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), visited the Innovation and Educational Park of the Mine Action Centre of the Republic of Serbia.

The visit took place within the framework of an initiative to strengthen international cooperation and exchange knowledge on the application of advanced technologies for humanitarian demining purposes.

During the visit, Belgian experts conducted testing using their drones and various types of magnetometers by surveying a test site with buried explosive devices within the Innovation and Educational Park, demonstrating the capabilities of UAV systems for detecting explosive ordnance in the field.

Representatives of demining organizations also participated in the aerial surveying and discussions on drone usage, sharing experiences from operational practice.

The significance of this visit lies in the enhancement of humanitarian demining methods and the improvement of safety through the application of advanced UAV technologies.
