Visit of Professors from Faculty of Security Studies to SMAC Innovation-Educational Park

On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, professors from the Faculty of Security Studies, University of Belgrade, visited the Serbian Mine Action Center Innovation-Educational Park.

During the visit, they had the opportunity to learn about the latest technologies and methodologies in the field of mine action.

SMAC Director, Mr Bojan Glamočlija, presented strategies and plans for the coming period, with a special emphasis on improving the training process for professional personnel and developing innovative solutions in humanitarian demining.

During the visit, the professors also had the opportunity to learn about the capacities of the Innovation – Educational Park, as well as the equipment and resources used in explosive ordnance disposal training courses, which is conducted according to international standards.

This visit represents a significant step towards further strengthening of scientific and professional cooperation between academic institutions and the SMAC, especially in the field of innovation and education of future experts, in the context of developing new technologies and approaches for faster, safer and more efficient demining.
