SMAC Representatives Visited Foerster in Reutlingen
SMAC representatives have recently paid a working visit to the Institut Dr. Foerster GmbH & Co. KG in Reutlingen, Germany, with the purpose of learning about the latest technologies in the field of unexploded ordnance (UXO) detection and geophysical terrain surveying.
Foerster Company, founded in 1948, is a global leader in the development and production of equipment for non-destructive material testing, metal detection and magnetic field measurement.
During the visit, as part of Foerster Day – Equipment Display, SMAC representatives had the opportunity to learn about the work of Foerster, advanced magnetometers and terrain mapping software solutions.
Special emphasis was placed on the exchange of professional experiences, the presentation of concrete examples from practice, as well as the identification of opportunities for the application of these technologies in humanitarian demining.
As part of the visit, working meetings were also held with the Foerster management and technical teams, where the opportunities for improving technical cooperation and pilot projects in the field were discussed.
