Participation of the Centre’s Representative as a Speaker at the Lecture Series on Innovation in Mine Action

The Subsphere Co. in partnership with York University from Canada, started a global speaker series that unites deminers, applied research centers, academia, policymakers, industry and humanitarian actors to shape the future of mine action through innovation and sustainability.

The first lecture in this series, was delivered by Co-Chairs of the Innovation Technical Group (ITG) of the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD): Pedro Basto from the GICHD and Miodrag Milenkovic from the Mine Action Centre of the Republic of Serbia.

The topic of the first lecture was “Innovation Hub: Challenges and Enablers of the Mine Action Innovation System”, which brought together over 80 participants, including representatives of relevant international and national organizations, scientific research institutions and expert bodies in the field of mine action.
