Commencement of the Implementation of Project “Đorđevac 2”
For the purposes of technical survey of the “Bujanovac North” site, the implementation of Project “Đorđevac 2” has commenced.
The project is located in the northern part of the Municipality of Bujanovac, and its implementation involves a technical survey of the terrain to confirm or dismiss suspicions that the area covered by the project is contaminated with minefields and other unexploded ordnance (UXO).

The technical survey project for the “Đorđevac 2” site was developed by the Mine Action Centre, which oversees implementation and conducts quality control of the executed works. The contractor is the NGO “Stop Mines” from Pale, Republika Srpska, which is responsible for on-site project execution.
The project is funded by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the United States of America, and the Republic of Korea, through ITF – the International Trust Fund for Enhancing Human Security.

The implementation of this project will contribute to increasing the safety of the local population, enable the return of residents to their homes, and create conditions for the safe use of forests, livestock grazing, and mushroom harvesting, which represent important sources of income for the local community.
