Implementation of the UXO Clearance Project “Rakovica–3”

The implementation of the “Rakovica–3” Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Clearance Project, developed by the Mine Action Centre of the Republic of Serbia, officially commenced with the introduction of the selected contractor to the project site.

Prior to the commencement of operations, a site visit was organized for all interested contractors to familiarize them with the terrain, as well as the scope and complexity of the planned clearance activities.

The works will be carried out in accordance with the Project documentation, the applicable national legislation, and the International Mine Action Standards (IMAS), under continuous professional supervision and quality assurance throughout all phases of implementation.

Funding for the implementation of this project has been provided with the support of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the Government of the United States of America, and the Government of the Republic of Korea, through the International Trust Fund for Enhancing Human Security (ITF).
