Training of Survey Team in Bujanovac as part of IMSMA Core System Enhancement
In Bujanovac, training is currently being conducted for the survey team as part of activities aimed at improving the Information Management System for Mine Action – IMSMA Core.
This system was developed to meet specific operational requirements in humanitarian demining and serves as a key tool for collecting, analyzing, and managing data.
IMSMA Core was donated by the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) and implemented based on the Implementation Partnership Agreement with the Mine Action Centre of the Republic of Serbia.
The training focuses on the collection and processing of field data using modern digital tools, including the Survey123 application, further strengthening the capacity of national teams to carry out non-technical survey.
The training is conducted by international experts, including Ms Helen Gray, who provides technical support as part of the Non-Technical Survey Project in the Municipality of Bujanovac, as well as a representative from the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD).
Their presence and involvement underscore the importance of international cooperation in humanitarian demining and the support that the Republic of Serbia receives in its efforts to ensure a safe environment for all citizens.
The Project is implemented through the ITF Enhancing Human Security and is supported by the U.S. Government.
